I know Summer officially started on June 21st, but as far as I'm concerned, it's been a month and a half since I got done with uni for the year. I have just exactly half of my vacation time left before I have to go back to the same old routine of crazy class schedule/ numerous part time jobs/ internship and a good ole dose of stress. I am determined to have a good summer and so far I have, but I want to make it better, so I wrote up a Summer To-Do List! I live in a tiny college town in the Midwest and don't have a lot of moolah to go traveling, which is what I would really love to do! But the little things count too and I want to make the most of it. I probably won't be able to do everything, but it's good to know I have options! Most of these activities can be things to do by yourself or even better - with friends and loved ones :)
Summer 2011 To-Do List
Sit around a bonfire and eat s'mores
Have a water balloon fight!
Go for a walk along a wooded path
See the sunrise
Have a picnic
Watch the sunset
Take pictures with friends
Get in shape
Go to the beach
Catch a fish
Learn to cook - or learn to cook better :)
Explore the city/town/area you live in - know your way around the city-bus routes/subway
Play boardgames
Have a movie-marathon
Go to a drive-in movie theater and reminisce the old days :)
Lie around in the grass with your sunglasses & a pair of headphones on
Go to this year’s hot summer flick
Learn to grill
Aaah, I LOVE summer!!! Tell me, which of these have you done? Do you have other ideas? Enjoy your summer!

ReplyDeleteThanks, Nisala. And since you know me in person, I guess you can get away with the nicknames lol :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorites pics on this are "Jump in a pool with your clothes on!", "Dance in the rain!", "Go skinny dipping in a lake in the middle of the night!" I'm happy and proud to say I've done all three... and in fact I think I'll jump in the pool in my clothes after writing this - WOO HOO!!! =D
ReplyDeleteDiane - I'm glad you enjoyed the list. I love doing fun things like this, it really allows you to experience life and teaches you to appreciate the little moments :)
DeleteThe image for getting in shape took longest to load for me...I'm thinking that is some kind of sign haha and not a good one.
ReplyDeleteHaha Steph, that's funny! Hope you enjoyed the list :)
