Trend-Spotting: Peter Pan Collars

I don't know about you, but I have been obsessed with the Peter Pan collar trend. Here are some ways to pack a punch with this sweet look:
Polyvore
Outfit 1:
I personally love this outfit - a silver sequin skirt paired with a flowy chambray blouse. Detachable peter pan collars are very popular and I picked this studded collar to create glitzy texture. The result? Instant bling! Looks like a necklace, but wait, it's a collar. Now there's a conversation starter. To finish off the look I added a pastel/nude clutch together with pastel colored rings. The bright burgundy pumps are a good contrast to the rest of the muted palette.

Outfit 2:
This one is a white lace dress with a Peter Pan collar. Perfect if you're going for innocent little girl. I channeled my inner Alexa Chung and complemented the dress with a black quilted chain-link purse, a gold watch and gold hued flats. The bright red ring provides a much needed pop of color and of course, I would cinch the waist with a skinny black belt. For colder weather, just add opaque black tights.

Outfit 3:
This outfit is working two of-the-moment trends: the collar and the two-tone detailing on this rich mustard blouse. Pairing it with dark blue skinny jeans gives it a casual yet comfy appeal as do the rich brown tones in the form of a cross-body bag and ankle boots. Peacock feather earrings lengthen the neck and face (a good thing to keep in mind with blouses that offer a bit of extra coverage up top) while a chunky orange ring complete the ensemble.

So there you go darlings, three amazing ways to work this trend - that hot guy in class will be whisked away to Never land ;)

Chrissy
