Summer Lovin' (Part Two)

As promised, here is part 2 of my fave summer trends.

P.S. Whenever I post something about clothes etc and include pictures, you may notice that I don't always include a lot of high end brand names. This is not because my fashion radar hasn't been upgraded - of course I swoon when I hear Vera Wang, Chanel, Burberry, Manolo Blahnik and all of those other big names. I am a lover of fashion and all things beautiful and luxurious but I am also a broke college student. So I try to keep it simple and include stores/chains with great fun stuff but at affordable prices. There are times when I break the bank and splurge on something, and the blog reflects that in the dusting of designer items included here. Like I said, I try to keep it affordable and spare you the guilt trip. I digress, let's look at the list now :)

5. Blue. Cobalt Blue.
I love this color. It is just so bold and attention grabbing and it looks great with light and dark skin tones alike. Black and white go really well with this color. You want to keep the rest of your outfit simple since your cobalt blue piece will really pop.

6. Neutral and Linen
Neutrals are still in and linen is a spring/summer staple. You can pair these 2 trends together or separately - either way, they won't let you down. Take a look at these pics:

7. Luxury Gone Wild
An interesting trend this summer is animal print paired with metallics. You have to be careful with this look since both looks each stand out in their own way. Here are some options:

Classic Metallic Bangle Set @ F21, $2.80

Metallic Sand Dollar Earings @ F21, $3.80

8. Code:Red
Nothing says sexy quite like a red dress. If you are not the kind of person who enjoys instant attention when you enter a room, you probably don't want to wear one, because that's what it will get you. You can take baby steps and try accessories, like a gorgeous pair of red pumps, or even a purse.
Red Shift Dress, perfect for a cocktail or even for work. Be a lady in red in this Torch Song Dress, $137.99 at ModCloth.com

So there you have it. Don't forget to dig in your closets for these latest colors and prints. The last installment of Summer Lovin' will be up soon! xo
